I recently setup a glass PM lilly pipe with intake [check link] but seem to have created dead spots at both ends of the tank. Bear in mind this is only a 60cm tank, im using a Eheim Ecco 2232 thats rated to 400lph.

Are these dead spots going to cause any problems? it seems the lilly pipe doesnt produce that same amount of circulation as the Eheim output pipe.

Im dosing using EI and have pressurised co2 running through a Jaqno external reactor. Would it be worth me upgrading my filter to a 2236 to increase flow?

Dead spots can cause problems, the common one is BGA so keep an eye on this. You can also get slower plant growth in dead stops as the CO2 levels get depleted.
