Okay so I have had 6 rummies for about three weeks. They were all great except one, he wouldn't school with the others. He just hung out by himself. He still ate and all, but just didn't fit. Tonight, I found him dead, but the others look great. I am sad for him. He didn't seem sick at all.........have you all had this happen? Nitrite 0 and Nitrate almost there........no ammonia. Temp 77 degrees.........55 gallon on my sig........ :-(

if he's been a bit off since you got him it could be that he was damaged very slightly when you got him (bruised or something)........or it could be that he was already an old fish. We often don't know how old the fish are when we buy them.

and yep ...that happened to me when I got my neons......one died and 18mths on still have the other 6 fish

man, doesn't that just bite? :/

I am having problem with my rummies as well.

One died a while ago it was very thin and it looked like it has an injured abdomen.

Now I have another one with the same symptomp also the tail is very pale not like the others, but the nose is very red still.

I am suspecting that it will die soon as well, anyone knows why this happens and what causes and how to cure it?

It looks like I need to get another batch of rummies soon

I've had this happen in my established Tetra tank, mainly with Neons. My Rummy's have been great since I had them aswell as the Glowlights and Black Phantoms.

I think it's just one of them things y'know?

James.
