Dead Mushroom?

Here is a picture.
I just recieved a bunch from liveaquaria. This one looked funkey. It has these red viens all over it.

It is the center mushroom.

I have no idea.....I thought it was dead

Yup, the one closest to the glass is a Rhodactis sp, but what you describe sounds pretty normal. They are different compared to the (nice coloured) morphs in the background. They should have small crisscross patterns like raised scars all over there surface.

In my picture, it shows detail a little more. The top green sp. are Rhodactis, and the Blue and Orange sp are your normal Corallimorph. The brown edge of anjother shroom just coming into shot above the greens are also Rhodactis, and the brown markings appear to be what you are describing! So all is normal!

Thanks for that great infomation! Glad I didn't get a dud. Hopefully the Rhodactus will look nicer in time. I think it is a little bleached. If I remember i'll post another picture in two weeks.
