Hope someone out there can help.

I found my biggest molly dead tonight. No idea why, seemed alright earlier today. I have noticed one of my other mollies has a slight bump on her and it is slightly red.

The only other problem I have had recently is my neon tetras have been acting strange {staying vertical} one had lost all its colour and look deformed so I removed it from the tank into an isolation tank.

Water readings are all ok.

Can you PLEASE help figure out the problem? Many thanks
Rachel

These are the symtoms of ntd.

Red stripe area will look bleached out. Or a milky substance on red stripe area.
Sometimes the blue area on the fish will turn a golden yellow.
Also look for black patches, or black linning around the red area.
Lumps that go to a point
Fish will leave shoal and act restless.
Fish will swim in an odd manor.
Weightloss.
Bent spine sometimes.
Later stages dropsy, and popeye.

What the make of the test kit you are using?

Does the lump on the head look hard or soft like filled with fluid.
Any whiteness to the lump in the centre of the lump, or edging of the lump.

It sounds to me like Wilder is asking all the right questions. The neons are especially troubling because neon tetra disease is not too well understood.
A simple observation from a livebearer enthusiast, neons and mollies will almost never do well in the same kind of water. Neons like water soft with a low mineral content while mollies like their water hard with a high mineral content. If you try to compromise on water, it may not work out for either fish.
