I just walked past my tank and saw one of my pim pictus 'cats playing' in his cave - he flicked the attached guppy out and kind of smiled at me :hyper:

Did he cause the blemish? any help (to stop it happening again) would be appreciated.

in tank....

2 Silver Dollars
2 Pim Pictus (babies)
9 Pristella Tetras
3 Golden Barbs
5 (sorry 4) Guppies

water...
PH 8
NitrItes 0.01
NitrAtes 50
Ammonia <0.1

cats are usually bottom feeders eating the lelftovers there. could have been killed by someone else. does look like on my monitor that there are some white spots on the tail and by the gills. is this a reflection?

nope, it was the reflection (sorry) no white spot. I guess I'll never know?
All other fishies seem happy :D

oooooh yes. Pictus cats are probly the number 2 culprit of missing fish. Fish as big as 4" long can be swallowed by these guys. They are predatory, and should NEVER be kept with any small fish. I've heard cases of pictus cats taking out entire tanks of mollies.
