G'day all
First thread i've started here other than a medical emergency question, so let's put up something brighter shall we?
This is my 165 L (43.5 Gallons) Tropical setup.

So far it houses 3 Kribensis (1 Male, 2 Female), 2 Neon Dwarf Gourami's (1 Male, 1 Female), 1 Sailfin Plecostomus (No idea what gender), and 1 Sydnodontis Multipunctata (Cuckoo Catfish, also unsure of gender).

It's reasonably planted, unsure of all plant names other than two, a Crypt and Amazon Frogbit (perhaps someone could help me out with the rest of the names!)

Mr. Plec and Mr. Cuckoo will oneday have to leave this tank, but until then they are all getting on just fine! The Kribs i actually just got today from a local breeder, so they are still quite little, only a few months old.

Anyway here are some photos

This photo is from when the Synodontis was in a different tank, but was hiding when taking photos in this tank so this'll do!

Cheers guys n gals thanks for looking!

Nice tank!! Gotta luv those kribs!

The driftwood piece is great. They always add a lot of dimension and unique qualities to tanks, especially planted.

Thanks all, the female dwarf gourami is sadly no more, but everyone else is doing fine.
Keen to add something else soon, anyone got good suggestions of tankmates for Kribensis?

They are quite placid until they spawn I keep mine with angels, swordtails and guppies

I find that if they are the only bottom dwellers they will pretty much go with anything

In saying that they have this morning cornered and killed one of my male guppies but they are protecting fry

I hope you enjoy them they beautiful fish and have fantastic personality

I find them really fascinating to watch especially when they become parents ;)

Yeah fully prepared for them to be lunatics when spawning lol, not a huge fan of swordtails or guppies, angels i don't mind, any other somewhat larger (not huge, just about adult krib size or a little larger) Fish you can recommend?
I really love Severums but i heard they eat your plants like crazy. But yeah, any other suggestions are much appreciated!

The Kribs are my absolute favourite fish in the tank, after the female dwarf gourami died the male doesn't seem himself either.

Oh, question on the Kribs, the black band down their side, mine are constantly changing it from solid to sort of patchy, and back again.
I would say 90% of the time it's solid, so is this just a mood/warning indicator??

the blackening and lightening of the stripe is just a mood thing and seems to go really black when protecting fry

Not really sure what else to suggest tbh

just that whatever you choose should be equivalent too or larger than your male

I would also suggest that unless you have a very long tank to avoid any other bottom dwellers kribs are very territorial

I don't keep real plants they are more hard work than the fish ahaha

sorry couldn't be more help with the stocking ideas

The latest addition, German Blue Ram. Have also added some Elodea and Ambulia up the back of tank and Lilaeopsis which can be seen in this pic. Also adding a second filter soon just have to set it up, Fluval 206, might switch to JUST that filter once its nice and established, but that'll mean a new lighting setup!
