I bought a bunch of anarcris(sp?) a will back and i can not get them to stay in they graavel if my life depended on it because my two 7 inch plecos get scared really easily and freek out if any thing happens uprooting all of them. ive tried rubberbanding them to stones but they just knock the stones off  . i have only managed to have one stalk root, does any body have a solution

If your talking about B/N's (Like in my sig) I find that they are the most gentle fish with plants besides the small tetras that i've ever kept....they go along the leaves and eat the algae I have never found for them to uproot the plants....but yeah if it does happen I would suggest using weights

i think he means the plants were called something like anarcris.

The think about bigger plecs is that they like lots of room - and will decimate a tank if they feel like it.

We've been very lucky with out 9" common- he dosnt dig od uproot plants.

Overall big plecs and plants dont mix.

try small plant pots filled with gravel and bury them in the main gravel.
