Dark Blue Lighting

Hi I have just put some meds in tank which has turned my water a great blue colour and the fish love it and swimming around great any way question is can plants survive if I put same coloured lighting in tank once meds are finished?

chances are no as the p.u.r. would not be there.

The you could add an actinic light to your current lighting (replace one of the tubes if you have multiple) which will give a slight blue hue or blue LED's to compliment your 'normal' white lights.

Actinic gives out more of the blue spectrum which some aquatic plants will use but you will still need light from the red end of the spectrum by using a 'normal' white light.

They will, but not with totally blue lighting, needs to be a mix.
