I'm possibly looking at closing down my smaller 5 gal tank down which homes my 3 yr old betta, a oto and a platy. I already have a larger 45 gal tank I was going to move them all into. I've no worries about the platy and oto but i'm not sure how the betta will get on with the other tank mates. These are variety of tetras (neons, phantoms, glowlights, flame and head and tail light) which i know are nippy, guppies, loaches, bristlenoses, boosemani rainbow and rasboras. Everyone is happy in there but will he start causing mayhem.

He would be VERY unhappy in with that lot.

Very unfair to any Betta let alone a 3 year old.

I am a novice in Betta keeping but I feel that I am right :shifty:

is there no way you could leave him where he is, or maybe section off a part of the other tank for him.

i don't think he'll do too well with those tank mates
