Danio's colour change

Hi

Yesturday i did a water change and added some FreshStart to the new water. Well this morning when i came downstairs all my Danio's seem to have changed colour , they look a bit "rusty" and they are swimming around like crazy i had 3 chase one in a frantic manner for ages, they dont usually act like this, i can understand that they may be a bit stressed by the water change but i dont know why they look yellowish/redish in colour.

Danios take up things from there surroundings rather easily so if they turned the color of the fresh start then dont worry.
They also lose there blue stripes at night (well mine do) and that may make them look funny I'm stumped.

My danios do exactly that every tie I add a little melafix, however, I think it's because they like it. I think that their behavior and darkening in color may be sexual in nature

Well both of your comments have made me feel ALOT better about the situation. I thought i had corroded them or something.
The freshstart is blue in colour so not sure why they turned "rusty" but perhaps it was the early morning sunlight streaming into the room and on their tank that made them turn colour, they are looking a bit more normal now.
Mine too lose their zebra striping during the night and go a pearly luminous colour.

I have watched them frequently today and they are calmer and chilling out at their usual pace, perhaps i caught them at a time when they were playing "mad chase" or trying to make woopie....
