Danios Acting Weird

today two of my leopard danios in a 10 gal tank went absolutely mental - not just chasing each other. focused on each other they were circling and nipping each other wildly. is this how they mate?

No it isn't, plus danio need to be in larger tanks as they are active fish, can we take a look at your stats in ammonia,nitrite,nitrate, and ph.
How many danio do you have.
