Help!

I've just checked my tank and found one of my Pearl danios floating past. I immediately checked on the others and one more Pearl danio is AWOL. The other 3 Pearls and the 5 Leopards are fine, as are the two Plecs.
I've checked the levels and they are:

pH - 7.0
Ammonia - 0.0ppm
Nitrites - 5.0ppm
Nitrates - 0.0ppm

These have been stable like this for the past few days. I did a water change about 5 hours ago and added so "Cycle".

The dead danio looked completely intact just dead with frosty eyes (?).

Any ideas anyone???????

how big?
how long you had them?

could be natural causes, age etc.

EDIT
try fishdoctor

Had them only a few days, they're about 1" - 2".

The other pearl has turned up, he was hiding behind some wood for ages. They seem to be chasing each other and nipping alot, are they sorting out the pecking order or is that a problem?

2" would suggest a full grown adult

can you return the dead one to the lfs for replacement?

He was one of the smaller ones so i think a youngster. I wont be able to get back to my LFS till Wednesday as i'm real busy at work but i'll let them know anyway and see if they have any ideas, etc.

Hopefully it was just 'natural' causes and not something that will affect anyone else in there.

They all seem fine so i'll just have to keep an eye on them for now. Thanks for the info.

yeah lets hope so
most lfs will want to check your water before accepting dead fish ,so take a sample with you

all the best
