Danio Kyathit Spawning Triggers

Anyone (wolf?) know of any specific triggers for Danio Kyathit. My females are heavily laden with eggs but they dont seem too interested in spawning.

(Unlike the Roseus which the male Kyathits are taknig a passing interest in)

The only referances I have point to the same ways for rerio.

There is a vague referance, poorly translated from a Czech site, thats mentions soft water for spawning. Maybe this is what is needed.
