Danio Hikari

Can anyone give me some information on this fish. In particular, I'm wondering if there is some connection with the Hikari fish food company. I tried doing a search on Google but came up empty handed.

They seem to have a nice iridescent quality that I like to see.

I checked out your website during my search but it gave no information on the origin of "Hikari".

Danio Hikari are from Myanmar, formerly Burma.

Not sure but Hikari means "light" in japanese (as in "Let there be light") and there is a japanese city called hikari (probably what the food is named after)

I suspect that it means much the same in burmese and it is a common forename there (including a former kings son)
