Hello - one of my danio's is hiding in one corner of the tank - on its side & looks as though its bent its spine :(
If i try to open the lid it swims about fine & is feeding ok, i cant see any other symptoms, no irregular scales like a pinecone or anything. Amyone shed any light & what i should do?
Thanks

What other fish do you have? Any neon tetras? How big is the tank? Do you have any readings for nitrite, nitrite and amonia?

In the meantime, put the tank lights out.

Cheers
Other stock are another 2 danios
6 white clouds
1 BN plec (the small one - app 5 inches max)

The tank is 180UK litres

Nitrite - 0 ppm
Ammonia - 0-0.25 ppm
Nitrate - 10ppm

Could be stress? Danio prefer having a group of 6 or more other Danio. Do you have places for it to hide?

Yes there's lots of hiding places around the tank, its been in a group of 4 for app 1-2 years, but one kicked the bucket after a few months of having them.
The eyes are starting to look bulged now & i think the scales are starting to pinecone  Thisk i may have to call this one a day as its looking terrible

I'm still a youngster at this but my guppy definitely had a twisted spine due to rough handling from the pet shop. I bought a fix all medicine and next day her spine was straight and still is. Maybe the medicine was a stress reducer and tonic. It says HEAL ALL by Bio- Elite. Here is :hyper: a pic of bended guppy. Good luck

Yeh thats how it looks - cheers i'll give that a try & setup me hospital tank for a bit :good: (as i still cant kill it lol)
atm i'm trying a salt solution which seems to have livened it up quite a bit.

How long has your tank been set up Lion? I'm a bit concerned you have a reading for amonia. It's possible your fish is suffering from new tank syndrome.
