Hi I got a Jebo Oddysea for 30 dollars off of ebay brand new. WHich is a bargain considering it normally goes for 60 dollars. The filter was working amazingly until today. I unplugged the filter to do a water change on the tank and it when I went to plug it in, absolutely nothing happened. I checked multiple outlets to see if that was the problem but it wasn't. The propeller just does not move nor does the unit make any noise when it's plugged in. WHat can I do to fix it? Anything, because it seems the issue lies with electricals.

Can you get to the impeller and see if it spins freely? There could be something built up in the impeller housing causing it to stop...

When I did my last water change on my Tetratec I plugged it all back in and it wasn't working.

It had a 2 pin european plug on it and you can't access the fuse on these (Was also using a euro adaptor) so I cut it off and wired a 3 pin UK plug on instead. changed the fuse to match the suggested ampage for the filter.

Plugged it in and Whirr Bubble Bubble Bubble - The lily pipe was expelling air bubbles.

In summary I would replace the fuse and see if that was it

Hmmm makes sense but I neither no how to do this, nor do I know abou tthe parts I need. However luckily the person who I bought it from is willing to exchange it for another one. :hyper:

well for future reference (US plugs may differ)

On the side of the plug that has the pins to go into the socket there is normally a removable section where a fuse is enclosed. remove this covering and the fuse, replace and hey presto....it works or doesn't.
