Hey peeps :)

It's hot today and when i got home the tank was running at 83.5 degrees. I quickly pointed a fan over the surface and it' now running at 82.9 :/ Will everyone be okay?

Should i turn my lights off? I have a few sotfie corals in the tank.

How is your tank running in this warm weather?

Dan

I keep my room at 78 during the day (72 at night to sleep) and my tank runs up around 83 with no fan cooling. 83 is on the warm side but I wouldn't worry too much at that temp. 84 Is where I start worrying, and anything above that is where I allow panic mode to set in ;). Everybody in the tank seems happy at 83 so I wouldnt worry

Well i forgot to open the window before i left this morning so that gave the room time to heat up, opening the window and adding the fan brought it down a little :) It's getting cooler outside now so the temp is on the way down... :D

Damn i hate summer  (Joke)

mine raises to 84 during the day, but ive not got anything in there at the moment, just starting my cycle.

i have to re-build my hood, once i decide what lights -_- so will include a few 80mm PC cooling fans in there.

just caught something on the news about global warming is killing off a reef (somewhere off the coast of america) the temp gets too high in the day.

i have a mate who went to australia for a year and worked on a diving boat for a few months and he says the water round the reefs was 30 degrees during the day.
