Dalmatian Molly And Balloon Molly Breeding

Is it possible for a Dalmatian molly to breed with a Balloon molly?

While I was watching my fish, I noticed my male Dalmatian molly approaching my female Balloon molly. It looked like he mated with her twice (I saw it happen!) and she just ignored him totally! If he actually did breed with her, what is the gestation period for a molly?

it is possible for any type of molly to breed with any other type, just like dogs, the type doesn't make a difference, as long as they are the same species, wich all mollies are, except for the giant mollies, wich grow too be four inches long.

i think the gestation period is about three to five weeks but i don't know for sure on that one.

about 4 to six weeks i think the longest is 6 weeks

Thanks! I just was to know when to seperate her since the main tank has lots of fish that would happily eat the fry. I plan to move her to my 2.5 gallon tank in about four weeks so her fry would have a better chance of survival.
