D+d Units And T5s Tubes.

I realise this question is not in the correct place but I feel I would get a quicker and more varied responce if I posted here.
due to an accidental breakage on one of my D+D actnic tubes tonight, I have decided to replace all of them tomorrow, before I do this I would like to ask you folk if it is possible to use arcadia T5s tubes instead? I am asking as I have 2 new tubes doing nothing.

arcadia T5s ON A D+D UNIT, WOULD IT WORK, HAS ANYONE DONE IT

9 times out of 10, as long as the bulb length, diameter (T5, T8, T12, etc), wattage, and pin arrangement are the same the tube will fire in either system. Never used a D+D system before, but iffa ll the above are the same, then it should work.

Hello Skifletch, thanks for the reply. The tubes are of the the same size and the same wattage, but they both have there own ballasts. I know on the arcadia packaging it sais to use the correct arcadia ballast but I am not sure this is a gimmick.

Well I have taken the leap and tried them, they are on, they look better, so they must work.
