I took a small pinch of it and tossed it into the tank. it clumped up and my fish loved it. However how do I get it to my corals? would it be okay to take a small bit, mix it with water from the tank and use an eye dropper to get it lower into the tank?

if you use cyclopeeze what methods do you use to get it into your tank.

also for those in the states drsfostersmith.com has freeze dried, frozen and "chips" of cylcopeeze. I bought 100 grams for 22 dollars.

I also use it, and believe frozen is the best way to go. I just free float it, but you can get a suringe at a drug store or use a small turkey baster to target feed corals.

for those who want more information on cyclopeeze go to

www.cyclop-eeze.com very insightful. if you search enough it comes up with a feeding plan.

I have a syringe that I use (non-needle kind of syringe). I got it at some point with one of my child's medicines. We have a bazillion of them floating around and it's a very handy way of spot feeding my corals

ahh yes I forgot about those. We have a 2 yr old and one on the way in June. I think when you have a baby the hospital should just give you a huge big bottle of "pink" medicine. I will try the medicine droppers thanks

I use the freeze dried cyclopeze and simply drop in free on the surface.. i did have to change this when i had wiers in operation because it would all simply go into the sump! :sly:

When i had weirs i had a feeding tray with the bottom open to th water.. i would place the foodin here and it could not escape. once the water had saturated it then it would drift down into the water colum and not go down the weir.

As for the frozen type. i personally feel its a waste of money. i have used it and it is good stuff but it gets used up far too fast.. its roughly half the price of the freezedried tub yet only lasts a fration of the time.
I never target feed my corals with cyclopeze, yet they seem to catch enough of it.
