Cycling - never happened?

When I set up Harvey and Archie's tank (10G), I took a scoop of gravel - probably about 1 cup only - from my girl's tank, put it in and filled it up.

NOTHING has ever spiked - everything has pretty much hovered right at zero. It's 3 weeks ago today since they went in.

Why isn't anything spiking? NOTHING.???

Just a guess. I've never cycled anything.

They produce lots of waste.. hee hee
Also, Harvey misses half of the peas I give him so they get dropped on the bottom and I don't think he ever finds them.

It just seems VERY odd to me that there's not been any spike at all with them being in there that long. Hmm, maybe not?

Maybe you added enough gravel that it instaneously cycled. Supposedly, it can happen.
