Cycling My Tank

Hi

I am at the moment cycling my Juwell tank, I also have a mature smaller tank with a under gravel filter system, would it be ok to take some gravel from my old tank and put in into one of my wifes old tights and pack this into the top of the juwell filter system to help cycle it, if so how long should I leave it there for?

hi iv never heared of that done before y not sqweze the spondge from ure cycled tank onto the other filter spondge and add some of the water from ure cycled tank aswell that should speed things up
