Cycling And Plants?

im currently cycling a tank i want to be planted, is it ok to put the plants in during the cycling process or am i better to wait until after it has finished?

i have only just started cycling on sunday so its at a very basic stage right now

You can add them whenever you like. There are articles on people not cycling a tank in the conventional way when really heavily planted becuase the plants do a lot of the work the bacteria would usually do. Having said that im too scared of injouring my fish to try it.

yeah, im more worried about shelling on the plants i want to find them all dead in a few weeks

as long as there is food in the water, itll be fine, i planted my tanks while cycling, just added ferts and they grew no probs
