cycling a 13 g

would it be alright to cycle a 13 gallopn tank with 3 neons?

Neons aren't the best fish to cycle with since they are not particularly hardy, but you can give it a try if you've already got the neons in the tank - you haven't really got much choice in that case.

Is there any particular reason you can't do fishless cycling? If you already have a tank set up it wouldn't take more than a few days to do it - just move some gravel and filter innards from the established tank, plus some water and Bob's your uncle.

i did think about moving some of the filter foam form my other tank but its a bity like a trickle filter would this make a diference?
