Anyone else ever looked in a female community to find all of their females piled up on top of each other in one corner, sound asleep?

I keep looking over at one of my female communities (6 girls, all 3 months old, 5 of them from the same spawn and one of them an orange Plakat from wuv), and, when they aren't parading around the tank begging for food, they're all sleeping in one corner, in a little Betta pile. Or they're in a plant...piled on top of each other. It seems to be their preferred method of sleeping, and anyone caught away from the pile-up makes a mad-dash over there and joins the pile.

Mine are kinda the opposite.
They hang out as FAAAAAR as they can possibly get from each other. They're not exactly friends. lol

I remember once Rachel said she had a little spiky plant in her female tank and they all wedged themselves into spikey plant. She called it her betta Christmas Tree.

Mine are kind of in the middle. Some have their "corners" while others I catch either piled on top of each other, or stuffed in one particular plant, kinda like Rachel. They rarely stay there for long if I am looking though, then they fly to the front of the tank, thinking food, food, food, hey food lady's here, hurry up!

That's so cute! Mine usually get up and spin off to the front begging for food as soon as they notice me noticing them, too. Luckily, though...I can peer at them without them really noticing me, so I get to witness the cuteness before they all turn into a bunch of mooches.

Awww, how cute!
I've never had any that were that comfortable with one-another

i dont have a female community ,but i have two females. one sleeps on the bottom behinds the filter(amy) and stary sleeps at bottom corner(she loves baby talking LOL)

Try to get a picture of the pile up. That sounds just so cute.

It certainly shows that they can get along if put together (or KEPT together) early makes a difference. I have the feeling that if they were a year old and not sisters, you would not see the same behavior.

Only 5 of them are sisters. :) The other one came from wuv. But they're all about the same age and size. And the five girls were actually separated at their breeder's for being nippy. But I combined them here and haven't seen any aggression or fin damage at all.

I'll try and get a photo next time I catch them doing it. :)
