My dad and I just custom built our own 6-foot 180 gallon tank ourselves with some assistance from the owner of our lfs. If you can find someone in your local area who knows about building tanks then buying the glass and building it yourself is well worth it, but if you don't have anyone near you then I would find a company to do it for you.

Is it more expensive to buy a custom made tank or one from the shelf?? Does the light unit come inserted within hood or do you have to add that yourself?
