Hey there, I am thinking of building my own custom tank for my room. I want this tank to be over 200g and I have a plan on the design, but i have no idea about the glass and how to cut and seal them toghether. Im thinking it cant be just silicon that holds toghether a hundred pounds, right? Well anyway can anyone help me on information?

Easiest and cheapest way is use thick plywood, go over it in the fibre glass, paint it with epoxy resin.
For mine i decided on viewing section size and went to my local builders and gt strenghend glass cut to size, i then siliconed this to the plywood and let it set. touch wood been fine.

If you want it all glass and you're in the uk id just get it from somewhere like posidons : http://www.poseidons-palace.co.uk/Poseidons_Aquariums.html

I made mine 72" x30" x30X witha 64"x 24" peice of glass and it cost me about £300-400 tops.
