Will it be easier to make it yourself by getting the glass or does anybody know any sites that will do any custom size tank?

nd aquatics will make custom sized tanks , their build quality is excellent too.

another uk based tank builder is aquariums limited which also have a good reputation .

I Doubt many make one that tall, unless you go for an out an out specialist, most tank manufacturers won't go much past 30" tall, as higher tanks don't usually meet a minimum safety rating

poseidons palace for example will not go any bigger than 96L x 26H x 48W

and using maximum safety rating of 8, using 19mm glass cost is £1685
or using minimum recommended safety rating of about 3.5, using 12mm glass, cost is £584

But don't most fish prefer deeper tanks as opposed to longer?

I don't mind the price of the tank - will there make it in the room because there won't be any other way to get it in the room.

I've seen 15mm been a common thickness to use for 8fter.

96" x 30" x 30" 15mm £1274 Polished

Where abouts in the house you got this size tank?

Would you have been happy using bricks as a stand?

Why would they? fish swim across not up and down, build the tank too tall and you'll no doubt have huge empty gaps in level where fish don't use,

Plus a long, short tank will have much more surface area and therefore oxygen presence than a tall, narrow tank
