I have put an order in for some glass at my local merchant for a custom built window sill tank.

Tank will be in my office on sill of window which looks out into Dining room (office is an internal room)

Tank size will be 845mm long,by 130mm deep,by 200mm high.

Glass cost is £28 plus a tube of aquarium silicon £6.

Led Lights, Free from my work. I plan to light tank from sides, is this an issue shining light into a tank this way?

Plants from cuttings from big tank.

2 x moss balls.

Cherry Shrimp x 7, from my small 15L shrimp tank.

As many pond snails as i can get so i have them for my puffer.

I also plan to put 3 micro rasboras in and 5 harlequin rasbora in.

I will take pictures of my FIRST tank build as i progress.

Concerns so far......... Tank I will have built will be above computers ETC. Filtration and water flow on such a long tank.

Watch thread for pictures on build this weekend.

Cheers.

A very long but otherwise small tank you are getting NoisySprings.
Try using a small external filter to get good end to end water flow. You can place the inlet and return tubes where you wish so can force water to flow the length of the tank. A concern with any window sill tank is the light from the window. It will give you good plant growth for those moss balls but it can cause undesired algae to grow too. You must be prepared to block some or all of the sunlight if excess light becomes an issue.
