and not a one to breed! hi its the oddball again. Well the topic of this is that i have six pair of curviceps in different tanks all with various tank mates tbut to my great annoyance they won't breed. It seems that the males vastly outgrow the females (to being more than twice the size and i cant figure this out) and wont breed. the hardness is as recomended in my books but the pH is about 6.5? the substrate is a fine gravel and the tankmates arent aggressive just a few plecos and small charcins there is plenty of slate caves as well as flower pot but they just dont seem interested...............suggestions?

6 pair as in 12? interesting. how big are they? maybe theyre fish that need groups to breed

hi there sorry abut this untimely response! bein a little  The fems are inch and a half and the males are about 3-4 inch and somewhat more aggressive. Dunno about breeding in groups as it seems that every report ive read focus on a pair with no other fish mentioned.......

african cichlids are different. they usually need a 3-1 ratior of emales to males
