Cucumber/Zucchini

How long will Cucumber/Zucchini Last in my tank before it starts to rot away.

I only usually leave it in for a day. Once I forgot and had it in for like 2 and a half... got rather gross.

a day should be ok... 2 if they prefer it soft BUT dont leave it any longer and it quickly goes downhill after that.

I'd say a day.

May be I am over-doing it, but I do leave it for over a day. What I noticed is that they don't eat much during the first day, and they really start to eat during the second day. By the end of 3rd day, there's nothing left for me to remove. In fact, I never remove any vegetables once it goes into the tank, so far...

"They" in this case are bristlenose plecos and they have been growing fine for the past one year or so...

mine seem to have the same sort of routine as yhbae's although the clown loaches are the main munchers.

I do remove it after day 2/3 but sometimes there are no traces.
