he goes for my snails :( not my hermits:) or my cleaner shrimp:) what can i get that is largish to sift the sand bed, was thinking about goby but im quite stocked will he add much to the bioload?

After scott suggested a goby to me I started reading about them.

You could try Valencienna puellaris or Valencienna strigata. Two of the most common. Plus they don't get to huge and should readily take aquarium food, which is good to sustain them long term.

by the way,

what size tank and what is your current stocking?

Your profile says this:

"128L marine reef aquarium
2 clowns
1 mandarin
i hermit crab
few turbo snails
small feather dusters"

yes i need to update that

2 clowns
1 mandarin
1 valentini puffer
1 small regal tang
1 royal gramma

i think i could squeeze a goby in as all my current fish arnt big at all.

you could just go ahead and give it a new home and then put the goby in it's place. Then you won't have to consider bio-load.
