CT: Curled & bent rays

We had an influx of Cambodian CT's lately and I got a few for myself and my friends. One has a few curled (like a small ball) and bent rays? Are those genetic defects or something that can be cured?

Usually it's a genetic defect/flaw found in a lot of CT spawns,you only get your handful of perfect boys.I've heard warmer temperatures produce less curly rays.

But,on the other hand,if a CT's once perfect and turned curly then it's usually because of water quality and lack of swim room.

Thanks. Am not sure when the curls started. The bent rays look like they have may been the result of being kept in too small a container.
