Crowntails For $7?

I saw a guy at the mall selling crowntails for $7. I'm wondering if it's a good deal or not. I noticed that they were very well taken care off and had magnificent colors. Should I get one?

Crowntails have become fairly common in most lfs around here. They typically arnt worth much more than any other betta, thogh people tend to view them as being rare. $7 sounds like a pretty fair price for a betta, iv spotted them around here for as low as $3.

Hm. Well, if that's the cheapest you can find. My LFS sells CT's for $2.50 for males and $1.99 for females.
