Hey guys
Its been a while since I been on the betta forum. I just set up a new goldfish tank that I will post pictures later. But anywho... My red CT's rays are curling at the end... He is probly one of my healthiest bettas except for that thing.... Does anybody know much about it? sorry i dont have a picture. Thanks in advance! :D

It's common in Crowntails, actually. They have to be kept in PERFECT clean water to keep their rays straight.

Actually, Animal, one of Bettabelieveit's bettas, has like a little hook at the end of his fins... it's strange. But yeah, clean water will prevent fin curling in any betta. And like Kiarra said, CTs are sensitive to water conditions.

I've heard that it could be genetics too. My boy Kai gets kinks at the end of his tail, but Ula who is in the same tank, doesn't. I keep my tanks almost obsessively clean so I attribute it to genetics.

CTs are sensitive to water... WOW!! never knew that o.o oh well guess i have to go back to wensday and sunday cleanings again :p

It could be due to imperfect water quality, genetics, or old age... take your pick :)
