ooooo, the black and white shot is chilling. its beautiful, yet sad and haunting at the same time.................... wow

Thanks MAM :)

I usually just point and shoot at whatever looks nice/cool/spooky etc but when I saw this scene it really hit me how strange it looked with the path leading up to the line of gravestones, all lined up to face the great beyond in front of them with the sun bearing down. It kind of gave me this odd feeling of whoever is in there lying and waiting patiently for something. I felt as if walking down the path was like going to join them. Wierd.

BTW I updated my website with loads of new pics of ancient tombs and other remnants of ancient Ireland here:
http://www.kenw.fotopic.net/c337478.html

there are quiet a few left to put on there but I'm getting round to it!

I know this is a bit off topic, but it has to do with a cemetary I saw (and should've taken a pic of). Directly in the middle of the graveyard that is on a main highway is a billboard that reads "Life offers more in Sycamore."

On topic: I love your pictures!!!!! I took a photography class in college, and thos pics would've gotten me extra credit!

They really are amazing pics. I was looking at them forever yesterday. I see a spirit in the last one,but I know how Cian feels about those things so I won't bother pointing it out only for it to be reasoned away :p

i just don't know what it is exactly but that b/w one really stirs the emotions. makes me a little teary eyed actually.................... i also love the historical feel to it............. but i have this weird thing for old graveyards when the stones were individual, had character, told you something about the person resting beneath it and the family they left behind. cemeterys today just dont' give me that same feeling (especially dwon here, where they dont use upright head stones, just a flat plaque...........).

*MAM goes off to look at Cian's site

Thanks for the nice comments :)

I see two :)

I see the second one as well, possibly even a third and fourth, but I was uncertain of those even after zooming in on them to an extreme. They could very well be stones (way back in the trees).
Cian, I see a face clear as day between two rocks.
And also, the cross like stone to the immediate left of the tomb, that bright, bright light at the bottom, behind it is very strange, but again that could be a stone as well.
