Hi all,

I am in a video mood today and decided to upload my pleco's adventures. He is unusually active pleco during the day and I am wondering if he ever sleeps :). He has his own cave under the wood in which he rarely goes anymore.
Anyway, he loves going in circles in the corners of the aquarium, or just racing around on the glass aquarium. He used to be quiet before, but he got very happy since the addition of the corydoras, except for feeding time :)

Here is the link to the video:

Funny, isn't he? I love watching him.
By the way, does anyone know the name of the plant?

I've been trying to feed the pleco veg like zuchinni and peas for a quite a while and he won't touch them.
Last night I put some lettuce in order to attract the snails and throw them out and guess what, the pleco was all over it :)

I am in a video mood today so decided to update the thread. The pleco has been since moved to a 90G tank and has grown a bit. It was a devastating move as I managed to damage one of his fins when I caught him as he got stuck to the net in the process. It looked like a brush afterwards, shredded in thin long parts. The fin completely recovered in 3-4 days though.
He did manage to munch on a few of the echinodorus plant leaves since which was expected as it looks like his favourite romaine lettuce :grr: I am still trying to convince him to eat other veg but he doesn't want to know.

He is way clumsier now but he still does his favourite circle move. I think he is fascinated by the curved corner glass probably or he has a problem :/

Sorry for the light reflection.

My bristelnose do exactly the same thing! I love your tank setup btw :good:sorry don't know the name of the plant

Thanks. The second video is actually taken from the side of the tank.

I have two tanks and one of them has two bristlenose in and i was hoping to move the larger of the two into my other tank, how did you manage to net him?

It was a nightmare catching him
I herded him into the net with my other hand but he ran so violently into it that he got stuck and damaged a fin.
Good luck with yours  Next time I'll just try catching him with my fingers

Crap pay aside, having to catch fish is the main reason I could never work in an LFS, drives me mad.

I'd recommend always using containers to catch plecs, of any species. They nearly all have some sort of spikes or bristles that can get stuck in nets.
