Crazy Plec

My Common Plec appears to have gone mental. He shoots across the bottom of the tank, then flys up the side, and then floats along the surface looking like he's dead for a while before diving back to the bottom. Anyone seen this before? Is he unwell, or is this just a quirky fish?

Is he floating upside down on the top? my two do this when they are agging for a treat, they are telling me they are hungry. To be on the safe side I would get a magnifying glass and check him all over for any parasites just in case. But in my experience common pleco's will do the stranges things one of mine will "sit" on his tail hanging in the water for ages. The other actually watches tv, if I stand in the way so he cant see the thumps on the bottom on the tank. Commmons are rather crazy.

I wasn't aware that they had such interesting personalties. Unfortunately there was something wrong with him, because he was dead this morning.

sorry for your loss though. did you manage to check he had nothing that could affect the other fish?
