crazy fish

stary is nuts she is jumping like a jumping bean(thank god for lids).what can calm her down? a fishy strait jacket?


PS;At petco i saw a bilnd betta that looked just like Betta momma's Louis.

You can either try Blackwater Extract or indian almond leaves. I'm trying the blackwater right now and it's wonderful. It even gave my betta a little push so he can make bubblenests. You can also try putting a towel over the tank to give it a little privacy and blackness. It helps them calm down a bit. Or you can try a little bit of salt (aquarium salt).

She might have ich, and she is maybe jumping out of the water to try and stop it annoying her! Try almond leaves or some med for ich!

no she doesnt have ich she may be cambodian but i dont see ich. i dont think she is sick i think she just loves attention too much..are fish like that ,i mean lightning was a nut when i bought him but he calmed down after a week ,iv had this girl for a bought a week. i think she is just a crazy fish.

My new boy is VERY active. I mean all of my bettas swim around and explore everything and come to the glass when I approach their tank, but Puck is right next to my bed so he gets most of the attention at night before I go to bed. He wiggles ALL around the tank and absolutely goes crazy. He looks perfectly healthy and is making bubble nests and everything. I don't know if there is anything wrong with him, he just acts so weird.

She could be begging for food.

One of my Plakats (Killian, actually) will jump straight up and down out of the water in his tank when I wander over, and when I'm holding food. It's his "feed me!" manuever.

My pardise fish is the same way. He's not too smart though, apparently I can't get his food in the water fast enough so he jumps OUT of the water and lands on the floor He is sure one hardy fish...
