I have a crayfish (blue) in my 15 gallon tank. he is quite helpful in tank clean up. I make sure I feed him shrimp pellets every other day to make sure he eats and cleans the tank up. anyway...

Will he be ok with shrimp? :/

Also, were can i buy shrimp?

your blue crayfish will eventually need a bigger tank and will get your shrimp and your fish if their are fish in the tank. They basically need their own tank and they grow pretty big i think they grow to about 6 to 8 inches.
:D

Crayfish and shrimp don't mix, though you can get some large (long armed shrimp) most are to small and will be food. The larger shrimps (if they both the shrimp and cray were fully grown) would fight and one would die - though having experienced both and knowing how aggresive they both are, I wouldn't like to bet on which one would win.

as has been said, they also don't mix well with fish (unless you are willing to lose them) and at some point the cray will need a larger tank.

I love crayfish, but they don't mix with anything! They will eat anything they can catch including fish, shrimp, snails, frogs, and fish.

The only successful tank that had anything other than a crayfish in it was a 40gal with lots of caves, two crayfish, watersprite, and wild type guppies.

The guppies were to quick for the crayfish to catch that often and they bred quick enough to make up for losses.

The watersprite grew fast enough to keep up with the crayfish's grazing assuming I kept them very well fed.
