I saw this little fella yesterday afternoon leaving the nest (prematurely I would think) and he flew straight into my (parked) car.....

His parents really put up a show when I picked him up.....

and put him back in the tree.....

This is what the parents look like......

It was after dark when he was re-united, so I hope he survived.....

Good on you for putting it back in the tree where the parents can hopefully find it. Too many people assume babies like that are orpahans and take them home for hand raising. We have lots of birds in Australia that the chicks jump prematurely from the nest and the parents usually just keep coming back and feeding the chicks and often attack or try to scare off anything they think is harming their baby.
