Crack

i think its a crack or a deep scratch but it definatly doesn't go right through the tank
and there is absolutely no water leaks.

anything i can do to stop it getting worse if it is a crack? i thought about putting silicone all round it but its on the front of my tank =[ its smack in the middle and hardly noticeable i think its a scratch like i said but it could just as easy be a crack

any ideas welcome

well if it was me id put silicone overit in like a puddle sort of fashion and since its the front of the tank id turn the tank around to make to front to back of course i dont know how big your tank is off hand this wont be practical if its huge but still more practical than replacing it

If it is a crack then no amount of silicon will cure it. If it's only recently appeared and it's near or at one of the edges of the glass it probably is a crack. Mark the end of the "crack" with a marker pen and monitor it to see if it moves. If it does, you will need to empty the tank and either replace the front glass or the tank itself.
