I don't think that they would. I know not what they eat, but I am positive it is not detritus. You would probably have to feed them flakes or perhaps frozen or live foods.

Actually they do eat detritus but they don't live off of it so you'd need to supplement their diet.

I didn't know crabs were good for tanks. I know that they will eat some of the leftover food and any dead fish but.... other than that, I thought they were just interesting to look at.

Crabs are good for getting rid of those pesky baby snails you cant see yet. Then they escape in the middle of the night and never return
