CRAB!

hi all, ive just found a crab in my tank it has a light brown body with bits of white, its legs are a tan colour with darker bands round them and it has dark brown claws with white tip's, i am unable to get a pic of it ) any help would be appreciated.

Check its claws if they are spoon shaped on the ends then its most likely an algae grazer. If they are sharp points then its a predator.
All crabs are opportunists however and will take sick, injured or dying fish etc.

It sounds a bit like a boxing crab. I have one in my tank. Do an image search for it on google and see if it is it. They usually have tiny anenomies on the end of the claws which are white. If it is i can tell you more
