I have a tank of red clawed crabs in a tank set up with gravel half full of water, with a few bits of bogwood coming outofthe water. I was thinking of changing it to one with a gravel beach covering 2/3 of the tank floor, a pool of water in the other end, and some plastic plants on the beach. is this suitable?
which would be better for the crabs? the fitler has a spray bar but the old tank set up contains plants. what about the new one. are there any plants readily available in the UK that could be planted in the new one to keep the tank oxygenated? the tanks not that high so really big plants are not an option.where do i plant them? are they even needed with the spray bar?

i would do a setup that just has 2/3 of land. as for the spray bar keep it. it may be worth investing in a mister as they like a high humidity. and keep an eye on chemicals as they are sensitive to copper and other toxic metals
