omg I have just spent the past few hours chasing two miserable cows around the farm.
Dave had turned out a dry cow into our pasture and about 10 min later I went and turned out my qh, well the qh was raised around cows and ran right up to the cow to be friendly, well this was apparently the only cow in the herd afraid of horses, so she took off and ran thew the fence, my qh wont leave the pasture so he stayed in.
caught the horse, locked him in the paddock, caught the cow, brought another down to keep her company and we all went to leave.
then realised the second cow found a new hole in the fence and was walking her way back to her old pasture.
caught her and put her back in and fixed the fence.
I am now coughing up a storm and cant breath right from chasing the cows all over the place. stupid cows, stupid horse.

. I used to have 3 horses and once in awhile they'd get out. They knew that just down the road was an alfalfa field! 
Plus, more horses down there too! 
Sometimes they are a big pain in the A$$ but ya gotta love'em
