Does anyone know where i can buy the runners/sliders? (not sure what there called) that you fit your cover glass into so it glides easier or what else i can use for the job as when i open my cover glass they are always stuck together
Thanks Angel

How is this stuff used ? If its how I imagine, on its side with the two panes running inside the two recesses, then its going to be a hell of a job fitting/removing the glass !

I drilled finger holes in mine with rubber gromets and cut the corners at the back for pipework and wires,
You can silicone a glass marble or similar on each piece if coverglass half way up and about 75mm in from the edge. for easy iextraction.

my 5ft tank came with sliding glass covers with an E frame. its actually really easy getting it in and out. :good:
Don't fix the E frame into the tank just have it resting in place.
When fitting the glass in tilt the rear E frame up and hold both panes of glass on top of one other. Insert the rear edge of the glass into the frame (if you line up the bottom piece the top piece pretty much goes in on its own as the dividing piece of plastic is so thin.) Hold the glass supported with one hand, pick up the second E frame and place it onto the front edge of the glass. Lower it down into position. It sounds a bit complicated when you try to explain it, but its really quick and easy after the first time.
To take it out, just bring the glass panels into the center on top of one another and tilt up at the front, take off the front E frame then lift out the glass.

Might give this a look then, Ive almost given up on cover sheets for this very reason - they wont run over one another easily... where do you get this stuff ? DIY stores, or LFS ?
