I recently bought 5 silver tip tetras, they have settled in well but I have noticed a couple of times a couple of them showing odd behaviour. They
stay spaced about 1 1/2" apart and seem to shimmy together. One minute they are facing the same way & the next one of them will turn. They then swim a few inches away then return to each other. Its almost like synchronized swimming. Is this part of a mating ritual or could it be trying to show who is boss?

I asked a similar question not too long a go, it turns out they may be fighting.

Hi. Paul. Thanks for your reply. So far my fish have not actually made contact with each other, I hope it stays that way. Of course I dont know what sex they all are or even if its the same ones all the time. Since putting them in the tank 4 have gone a lovely golden colour whilst number 5 is silvery. I dont know if that means Ive got both male & female, Ive never kept them before & I dont know how to tell.
