hello havent been on the forum ina while but i had a couple question on what i could do with my guppy grass recently i saw it dying in a 20g i started to re cycle it was growing but it has been dying i was thinking i remove the floaters until the guppy grass is established. open the suggestions also im fertilizing the plants and i leave the light on for 8ish hours

Can you explain what you mean by started to recycle the 20g? And a photo of the tank so we can see the plants would probably help. And, which "fertilizer" are you using and how often?

Hello. Guppy Grass is a medium light plant. If you have any floating plants above it, then naturally it won't get enough light, because the floating plants are blocking most of the light intended for the grass. You'll need to remove the floating plants. You can easily put the floating plants in a five gallon bucket with some of your tank water and put a small light above the bucket. I use simple clip-on lamps. The Guppy Grass doesn't need any special lighting or fertilizers. I use shop lights above my tanks and as long as you keep low to medium light plants, this lighting is plenty. 6500K, T5s are fine. I use a four bulb strip.
