The tank is 40g. Has 3 females and 4 blue crawfish..

Couldn't get a pic of the other female.. She's brown and not so exciting looking anyways... These 2 are new as of 2 days ago

This would be the 40g tank... They seem to be loving it so far.. They are quite interested in the crawfish, but quickly move along when the crawfish show them their claws.

These are 2 of my 7 males.. Both are quite old.. The one on the left is about 3 now

Will add some more pics tonight.

real crawfish, how long have they been in with the bettas? because one day when they crawfish get big enough they are going to eat the bettas.

I don't think it'll happen. We've had full grown crawfish in with platys for quite awhile now without platys going missing.

Some more pics..

This is my favorite male plakat..

What size are those cups you have the males in?
And how often do you do water changes?

Platys don't have long fins like bettas do to grab onto. Also, platys aren't known to rest on things like bettas do. It's an open invitation to clamp onto their tails.

I've got mostly 1g or 2g tanks for the males. They get about half the water changed every few days, then a few days later I do a 100% cleaning.

The bettas will be fine with the crawfish.. I wouldn't have put them in there if I wasn't positive they would be.

The crawfish will eventually try snatching the females, trust me. And I just know your going to get grilled for only having 1 gallons, but to be honest my friend, all your fighters look healthy and tanks look clean. And that male PK is wicked :)

Your bettas look lovely. looks like we have the same tanks. your cat just looks well fed, thats all. Do you just ignore those eyes...."feed me, I am starving, Help"

I used to keep bettas in jars... I had way too many... now I only keep as many as I can put into at least 1g tanks.

Although I do have one that is probably only .75 gallons..

Their water stays very clean, and they do quite well. Ideally I'd get a 20g long tank and divide it up for most of them.. That will have to wait until I'm a bit more settled. Really don't know where I'm going to be living in the next while.

Finally got a pic of one of the craws.. This is the 2nd biggest one.. About 1.5''
